Hello,

Maybe someone have a issue for my problem. I use .strm file with http link into. Emby scrap it perfectly and Kodi can read it perfectly. The only problem is to move into the movie, if i use the x2 x4 x16 x32 move speed it works but i can't move with next chapter button or with right and left cursor (+2,+5,+10min).

Thank you in advance and sorry for my english.

Hi, both of these are happening because we do not have media info about the strm.

Yea we just haven't put the same amount of work in towards strm files, but potentially in the future we will.

I'm not sure about the next release but it's something that can be improved in the future. Thanks.

And a last thing, when i put the movie in pause and resume, after 2-3min (probably the cache remaining) the video stops.

If you could provide the Kodi log: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17599-how-to-report-a-problem/

However, there's a good chance it's a Kodi issue. Are you direct playing your content? If you are, the add-on/server is not involved in the playback once it's started. In the Kodi forums, it seems non-emby users experience the same issue as you. Hope this helps.

I don't know if this warning is a problem for stop/resume.

Those log lines can be ignored. They don't mean anything important.

For the crash during long time paused, i found a issue. I'm using a MXQ box and it was a cache problem (1Go Ram). When the cache was full, the movie crashed ! then I modify the cache size in advancedsettings.xml like that.

<advancedsettings>
  <network>
    <buffermode>1</buffermode>
    <cachemembuffersize>0</cachemembuffersize>
  </network>
</advancedsettings>

So now I use the local hard disk space to store the cache (8Go EMMC).

It's possible to do playback and move into a .strm stream if I use .nfo with runtime tag?

Thanks

You said it's not possible to move during a stream using http link in strm file cause the server don't know the runtime of the stream ( I mean using "next chapter" or "click on the duration bar to go in the middle of the movie") then my question is if I use a nfo file with the runtime tag, is the server will know the runtime and will able to do that?

Thanks

You could try it, I don't know if it would change anything other than possibly being able to save a resume point. Can't you use the up arrow to skip ahead by 10mins instead of using chapters, does it work?
