Hi all,

I have EMby server installed on a QNAP TS-453A with an HDHomerun tuner and DVBlink running on the NAS.

DVBlink works fine so is HDHomerun.

From Kodi I can play live tv or the recording.

After installing Emby server and configuring the live tv part, Emby managed to get the channel lists, existing recording, etc.

However when I play or try to play live TV I get an error "video can not be played", something like that.

For a recording it is identical. I had a look at the log file and this is what I got:

I can clear see the error but have no idea how to fix it.

Any suggestion?

Edit: I did other tests, in particular trying to play a couple of movies - in mkv or mp4 -  and got the same error. So clearly this is not a dvblink problem but rather an Emby problem.

Sorry for the late reply. I have attached the latest log. Tried to play a few recordings or live tv but no success.

For info, my configuration is as follows:

- HDHomerun connect

- QNAP TS-453A running DVBLink

- Emby 3.0.5971 running on the QNAP NAS

- QMono 4.2.2.30

I also access my live TV and recording from DVBLink on the apple TV (MrMC) app or via Kodi installed on the QNAP (via the DVBlink add-on) and it is working fine so I am assuming that the problem lies within Emby.

Here are the 2 log files just been updated after installing 5984 version. For those logs, I tried playing a DVBlink recording.

The screen is black but I have access to the control bar such as pause, etc. It also seems that I can also move forward and backward using the scale and the end duration seems correct as well

Instructions on how to attach log files as well as where to find them can be found in the link provided in post #2. Thanks.

Hi Luke,

I have managed to solve the problem. After analysing a few log, I noticed some errors related to transcoding. I checked my setting and somehow transcoding was enabled and a profile for hardware acceleration was selected by default rather than none. After setting it back to none, I could play live to and my recording. One less problem to worry. Almost there. Last two problems are now raw images and the server being unresponsive.

Thanks for your help
