The Visual C++ 2015 error

HI,

Opened my Emby Theater on my HTPC (win 7) getting a error tonight to install the Visual C++ Redistribute package. Tested on my desktop (win 10) and after a very long black screen killed it and opened it again with the same error, HTPC was fine last night.

Is this a new version issue? Strange getting it on two devices.

Ok but did you try to install the redistribute package Emby invites you to download at least?

Thanks,

Have Window 7 and 10 both 64 bit so installed those, no dice.

Saw in another post here to install both 64 and 32 bit, just tried 32 bit and all is good.

Is EMBY a 32 bit application?

I am now getting this too on my everything-was-running-fine-until-today media PC.  Tried installing both the x86 and x64 redists, and reboot, same error.  Update/re-install Theatre, same error.

I had to install it as well on my win 10 machine, 64bit installation worked fine no error after that.

It asked me to install the x64 and I did.  It worked, but today I'm getting the same error again.  I'm not sure what to do now since MBT won't start even though I have C++ installed.

Are you by chance on a 32-bit system?

Nope.  And I installed the 32bit c++ as well and same problem.  Funny because I got the error a couple days ago and solved it by installing both 32 bit and x64,, but now it's again showing the error after working last night.

Install the latest version from the website and follow all of the instructions one more time.

I am getting the same error. The download link failed the first couple tries. I finally got it downloaded and installed, and Emby Theater is now working. Well see if it stays this way.

You'll be fine :) Come on guys, this isn't an error. It's just a friendly message telling you that you need to go install something.
