having a hard time finishing media library scan

i just bought 2 8tb wd external hard drives and my media library scan has gone from 10 minutes for 7 3 tb externals to 12+ hours for 2 8tb and 5 3tb externals

 

also no matter what I do it ignores one folder

 

mickey spillanes mike hammer 1984-1987

 

i also have mike hammer 1958-1959

 

mike hammer private eye 1997

 

3 different tv shows in 3 different folders

 

emby recognizes 2 of them but not the 3rd for some reason

 

 what should i try?

 

ive already tried to uninstall and reinstall twice

Hi, after moving files to a new drive or installing fresh, it's normal for the first scan to take a little time. You can always go into the server dashboard under Metadata and disable features that you don't care about. That can help improve the performance of the scan.

 

As for the content being ignored, please supply more information. Please discuss in detail why you think it's being ignored, and attach screenshots of what you're seeing in Emby, as well as screenshots of the folders. Thanks!

THANKS LUKE, i did as you suggested it worked. funny though now i have an extra mike hammer 4 in total. maybe a new scan will delete the duplicate? at least now i can finish a scan....i probably have too many shows in my library

 

1032 so far  but emby is by far the best. for my tablet, samsung tv and pc
