CBers 6766
Basically, only Amazon devices still have VLC as a player. The Google versions use Exoplayer, which is the built-in player.

Spaceboy 2493
Is it possible for the issues caused by the removal of vlc to be looked at? It's made live tv inoperable for those of us not using Emby tv and using android

Create your live TV issue and send me the log, Then start a new thread telling me you sent it and the Emby user that was logged on.

raven-au 17
Is it possible to get the vlc option back at all? Or is it not possible. Cheers I have the VLC option on Android TV 5.1.1, it's enabled, and I have the issues described relating to the new player. So it seems having "the option" doesn't make any difference. raven-au 17
Hi, in order to best help you, please see how to report a problem. Thanks. @@Luke, thanks for the attention and your suggestion. What I've encountered lately has been reported by others elsewhere so I believe there's nothing to be gained by reporting the same problem. I hope they will be worked out in time in the same way as similar problems I've encountered in the past have been. It's just unfortunate that recent updates to (in my case) the Android TV app appear to have introduced regressions. Ian
