mystic.bertie 23 Posted February 17, 2016 Share Posted February 17, 2016 Hi guys, i dont usually use subtitles much but not long ago i managed to get Polish subtitles displaying fine when using the previous version of Emby, 100% of the time. With the new Emby it would only work for 2 out of 5 movies, after a bit of research, the movies that wont display the Polish subtitles actually have internal subtitles. See snapshot below. I have tried the different settings for subtitles 'always' 'default' 'smart' and it wont make a difference. The Polish subtitles are only shown when the movie has no internal subtitles. The CC button is now shown, it was missing before, all in all emby is much faster now, it was a bit slow before and it would hang while waiting on movies to start. It seems fine now. I do have the CC button, but when clicking and selecting subs, nothing change. thank you does switching between the video renderer help , i also noticed it wont play unless the subtitle file is the exact same name as the video file. when you uninstall did you remove all traces and settings etc? nodiaque 31 Posted March 24, 2016 Share Posted March 24, 2016 The problem is with WMP, since ebt is using wmp. When using WMP, I get the same result, no subtitle for a particular set of file. They have embeded SRT file. Those with embeded ASS file work, and the external SRT also work (I manage to fix the other, but not that one). Using MPC-HC, no problem. Subtitle won't display with EVR+ and although MadVR works on my system the video get shifted up so there is a huge black bar on the bottom and the top of the video is cut off when I use MadVR. I get the first subtitle (~1s in), then the 2nd (at about 1m in), then the video ends (which is right since the sample is 1m 7s). If you look at the event log do you see any WER messages? It's doesn't manage the graph in that way (actually doesn't touch it at all). If you could provide a log with debug level logging enabled I can have a look.
