haeffnkr 3
Hi, I have been playing with my nexus player. I go into the emby app, pull up a live channel and start it, no problems. When I switch over to a different app then go back to emby it starts at the channel I was on.. I hit the play button and it hangs and will not start. I have to push back a few times to get back to the main channel screen (whats on now) then select the channel then it launches. Anyone else have this issue? thanks in advance - haeffnkr
ebr 14905
So it doesn't actually hang? It is still responsive?
haeffnkr 3
Just now I tried it again. The app would not launch at all... I had to reboot the nexus player to get emby to start. I had no issues starting other apps. After the reboot I launched emby selected the channel... it launched in 2 seconds... I went to nextflix, came back to emby and tried to restart the channel I was on, as it defaults to that screen first thing... I just get the spinning circle... it will not start after 30 seconds, I bailed and hit the back button until I got the the main channel/what on now... and selected a channel. It launched and played as normal. thanks haeffnkr
ebr 14905
I went to nextflix, I assume you are doing that by hitting the "Home" button? You do this while the channel is actually playing back?
haeffnkr 3
Yes home/stop button. Emby not playing in the background, launch different app, come back to emby will not start live channel unless I go to main menu again. If I hit the home button on my phone launch an app, go back to emby it will immediately launch the channel again. (but sometimes if I hit the back button cause I have a bad connection it completely hangs and the o/s has to stop it) Edited February 12, 2016 by haeffnkr
ebr 14905
Okay, I'll have a look at that scenario. In the meantime, try backing out of the channel before hitting "home".
haeffnkr 3
Any updates on this bug?
ebr 14905
I was not able to cause a hang of the program in any of the scenarios I tried. I went home while playing something and it stopped and when I came back, sometimes I was still on the playback screen but just hitting back again took me right back out. I may need more explicit steps of exactly what you are doing to reproduce.
haeffnkr 3
When you come back to the playback screen and hit play it will not play. I just want to restart the last channel it was on... channel will not start. If you go back in and hit back then select a channel it will play. ebr 14905
Okay, well what should really be happening there is that you shouldn't come back to the playback screen.
haeffnkr 3
next steps?
ebr 14905
Until we're able to address it in the app: In the meantime, try backing out of the channel before hitting "home".
