My crappy laptop could easily handle 500 items long before the performance jump. Removing the option for US to choose to increase items displayed is not good.Perhaps just have a tiny reminder in the popup saying that 'Performance may be reduced with more items displayed' It's really annoying forever clicking next page, next page, next page....It's not like you're getting paid for ads like all the webpages we look at that paginate even short pieces...
