trumee 0
Hi, I have a DVD structure contained in a VIDEO_TS folder. Emby gives an error playing it and log is pasted below. Any idea what could be wrong? Luke 36879
Hi, welcome. What version of the server? Just so you're aware, we consider this feature to stream folder rips to mobile apps as experimental. I can tell from the command line there's no vob files being supplied, just the parent folder: -i file:"/mnt/media/video (2006)" Several versions ago we had a bug relating to this that has since been fixed. Try refreshing the item from the detail screen in the web interface. Click the dot menu -> refresh. Then give it a minute and try to play again. If it produces the same command line, then for some reason our probing process is not able to determine the vob files that should be played. Thanks. trumee 0
Ther version number is 3.0.5781.2 which the latest version in FreeBSD ports. I tried to run the same video in a linux docker with version 3.0.5821.0 and it worked correctly. The transcode log in linux does show the VOB {"Protocol":"File","Id":"a718f6587232ba6057344ff8c457a221","Path":"/home/xx/video (2006)","Type":"Default","Name":"DVD/480P/MPEG2VIDEO/AC3", "RunTimeTicks":94317330000,"ReadAtNativeFramerate":false,"SupportsTranscoding":true,"SupportsDirectStream":false,"SupportsDirectPlay":true,"RequiresOpening":false,"RequiresClosing":false, "VideoType":"Dvd","MediaStreams":[{"Codec":"mpeg2video","IsInterlaced":false,"BitRate":581733636,"RefFrames":1,"IsDefault":false,"IsForced":false,"Height":480,"Width":720,"AverageFrameRate":29.97003,"RealFrameRate":29.97003,"Profile":"Main", "Type":"Video","AspectRatio":"16:9","Index":1,"IsExternal":false,"IsTextSubtitleStream":false,"SupportsExternalStream":false,"PixelFormat":"yuv420p","Level":8,"IsAnamorphic":false}, {"Codec":"dvdsub","IsInterlaced":false,"IsDefault":false,"IsForced":false,"Type":"Subtitle","Index":2,"IsExternal":false,"IsTextSubtitleStream":false,"SupportsExternalStream":false,"Level":0}, {"Codec":"dvdsub","IsInterlaced":false,"IsDefault":false,"IsForced":false,"Type":"Subtitle","Index":3,"IsExternal":false,"IsTextSubtitleStream":false,"SupportsExternalStream":false,"Level":0}, {"Codec":"ac3","IsInterlaced":false,"ChannelLayout":"5.1","BitRate":384000,"Channels":6,"SampleRate":48000,"IsDefault":false,"IsForced":false,"Type":"Audio","Index":4,"IsExternal":false, "IsTextSubtitleStream":false,"SupportsExternalStream":false,"Level":0},{"Codec":"ac3","IsInterlaced":false,"Channels":0,"SampleRate":0,"IsDefault":false,"IsForced":false,"Type":"Audio","Index":5,"IsExternal":false,"IsTextSubtitleStream":false,"SupportsExternalStream":false, "Level":0}],"PlayableStreamFileNames":["VTS_02_0.VOB","VTS_02_1.VOB","VTS_02_2.VOB","VTS_02_3.VOB","VTS_02_4.VOB","VTS_02_5.VOB","VTS_02_6.VOB","VTS_02_7.VOB"], "Formats":[],"Bitrate":581733636,"RequiredHttpHeaders":{}} Edited February 6, 2016 by trumee

trumee 0
Refreshing didnt help, it gave the same transcode error. However, the server log file showed this 2016-02-07 00:00:03.6537 Debug - App: Running FFProbeProvider for /mnt/media/video (2006) 2016-02-07 00:00:03.6559 Error - App: No vobs found in dvd structure. 2016-02-07 00:00:03.6559 Error - App: No playable vobs found in dvd structure, skipping ffprobe. trumee 0
Some progress here. I upgraded my emby-server to 3.0.5821 using this patch https://bz-attachments.freebsd.org/attachment.cgi?id=166451 After a restart of emby i again got the same error as above. However, after doing a refresh as the item, the VOB details were correctly picked up and transcode now works properly.
