Problem Playing Video_TS files

I have a friend who i installed Emby for, he has a mixture of ripped DVD files and other files.

The folder structure is Movie\Video_TS

All mkv's are playing fine but he has just noticed the ripped DVD's are not.

He is running Emby in Docker on unRaid, and it is updated to the latest version.

When trying to playback from Kodi he gets a script error

When trying to playback from the Web Interface all he gets is a still of the fanart art with some playback controls but nothing ever starts.

I have attached some logs, it appears that it is trying to transcode the files but i'm no expert.

Tranquil

There is not filename in the path to the movie, so the server never starts transcoding. Have you tried to place the DVD files directly in your movie folder?

That way:

Playing video_ts folder structures is only fully supported in htpc apps such as Emby for EMC, Emby Theater, and Emby for Kodi. For all other apps where server transcoding is required it is considered experimental and will be hit or miss.

Luke, he is trying to play them from Emby for Kodi

Then you need to setup the system so Kodi can direct play them instead of trying to transcode.

OK, thank you

Just setup some Video_TS files here at home and as expected they work perfectly.. I will be surprised if his Kodi is setup for transcoding but hopefully i can drop over there today and check
