jmassaro87 28
Hello All, First let me start off by saying this is a great community and I love EMBY!! Now my problem. Sporadically i get a weird issue where my movies or tv shows disappear. Not all of them just some. For example, I have 556 movies, my library currently says 431 movies. I also have about 15 TV Series, and about half of them will disappear from time to time. This is not a constant problem. They will eventually come back. But the strange thing is that all tv shows and series are stored on the same 5TB drive. They are all always available and able to be played through windows, but for some reason not through EMBY. I hope you guys can help guide me to an answer. I will upload a log when i return home this evening. Edited December 8, 2015 by jmassaro87
Koleckai Silvestri 1150
Is it a green or "Eco" style drive. If the drive goes to sleep, Emby can't see them. When you access the drive through Windows, it gets woken up so it is accessible. Check with your drive manufacturer to see if you can adjust the sleep timer on the drive. It is a Seagate Barracuda 5TB drive. Not sure that is the answer, interesting thought though. If 100% of my media is on this drive, then why would only 75% be visible? Koleckai Silvestri 1150
Sorry read it differently. Didn't all movies and series were on the same drive.
jmassaro87 28
Here is my log from this morning. Just because i have since removed the NextPVR plugin just to check as NextPVR screwed with my antenna feed when trying to move from WMC to Kodi. The other thing that i am just no wthinking about, is it possible Kodi may be causing this issue? I am currently using Win7 Pro with WMC as my front end. Since i was looking to upgrade to Win10, i tried out Kodi to see if it would suffice to replace my WMC client, and so far it cannot. Too many issues with NextPVR client for me to switch. I think this problem started around that time. I will uninstall when i return home to see if it fixes the issue, but either way here is my log hoping there is something in there that is useful. I Have 556 movie, Emby in WMC only shows 431. server-63584612543.txt
jmassaro87 28
More information after playing around over the weekend. I uninstalled Kodi. No change. So I then ran a CHKDSK, no errors or bad sectors. SO I started playing around and found that Emby for WMC is not displaying the 125 movies, BUT, they do show and can be played in the web dashboard. SO, it is not a HDD issue, this is a Emby for WMC issue. Any suggestions?
jmassaro87 28
OK, so i did find that Emby at some point collapsed my collections in the main movie screen. I have fixed that so the movies are now back to normal. But, I am still finding that some of my TV series will disappear. They will randomly reappear an hour or so later.
