Troble seeing movies/TV listed in web client - covers not viewable or clickable

My system has been running for some time without issue but yesterday I started having problems viewing my items in the web browser (on same PC as library).

 

See attached picture but basically page one of movies is listed fully, page two has some blanks where covers should be and page three is pretty much empty. If I click on any of the missing covers then the page hangs though sometimes I get a browser "connection refused" message.

 

I have tried installed the latest beta version over the top but issue is still there, I have also tried disabling virus checker and firewall but makes no difference. Waiting for a length of time does not help and the machine CPU usage is around 3%-5%.

 

This is causing me problems as the server is picking up new items added but I then cant see them to edit or add to collections.

 

Windows 8.1

Intel i5 3.4ghz

16GB Ram

 

Would this be a database issue?

It looks like it is scanning your movies but a number of them have local metadata files with bad xml

Then it's searching online and not finding any metadata. are these even real  movies? you might just want to reclassify that library as home videos.

That particular video is not on IMDB, I will try moving it to a home video.

 

Would this cause the problems I'm seeing, i.e so many movies not displaying and are not clickable as are some that ARE showing?

 

Everything was fine until the last 24-36 hours or so.

 

Also seeing lines like these;

Not sure what it means by linked item but everything looks ok in the folders and files are certainly there

OK - So if I remove the Coverart plugin, the issue is resolved!

 

I have tried three versions 4.0.9.2 and the two previous versions. With this plugin removed all functionality is returned and all covers are both shown and clickable.

Sounds like this issue:  Cover Art plugin is causing Web Client to crash, and server to lag.

 

Perhaps you two can get together and see if you can figure out what you have in common.

One other point to mention, sometimes I see a "waiting for available socket" message at the bottom of the Chrome window.

I have just upgraded to server Version 3.0.5781.4 and this seems to now work, if a little slow in screen drawing.

 

Only been running a few minutes so will keep an eye on it.
