Pitchshift 13
Emby Server: 3.0.5781.3 Emby Kodi Plugin: 1.1.60 Kodi: 15.2 I decided to install Kodi onto my Raspberry Pi 2 along with the Emby plug in. Each time I try perform full sync after installing/configuring the plugin it seems to crash and reboot. It then repeats itself over and over. I have tested this on both OSMC and OpenELEC systems and the same thing happens. I have noticed if I disable "cache all images to Kodi texture cache" the plugin performs a full sync. The problem with this however is the artwork then takes an age to load for video I'm looking at. Can anyone help please?

Pitchshift 13
Is there any reason why it only does it on the Raspberry Pi 2? Do I need to raise this issue with Kodi to make the devs aware?
xnappo 1593
Naw, the Kodi guys are not likely to do anything about it unless you can find the issue in some other way other than Emby for Kodi. You can turn off the Texture cache for now, probably we need to look into optionally throttling the process. If you need to cache them, you can use the Kodi texture cache tool instead. xnappo Edited November 28, 2015 by xnappo
spectrasoul 0
Guys, the Emby plugin is not working as it should on Raspberry Pi 2 since several months... Is anyone looking into this issue? Turning off the caching is a major show stopper, it will work, yes, but the navigation is slower than on a Raspberry Pi B... almost unusable with a few hundreds of titles... What's killing it? It's the ginormous JSON? On a Raspberry Pi B it takes around 45 minutes to sync my library, no errors. On the Raspberry Pi 2 with the latest version of the plugin it crashes in 20 seconds. I've already tried a few scenarios, also, tried with a swap partition, no luck, at some point I think I saw some GPU related errors in the Kodi , It seems that the GPU is involved in the image decoding for artwork/covers, etc. and doesn't like the content received from the Emby server... I'm, almost at the point of giving up... Also, a note to the CSS designer: please, stop killing the text space on the "Recent Activity" container with that repetitive icon, everything "text" in there is truncated because of that icon....FHD res. and everything in that container is truncated... Text is important in that container, that icon has no relevance, my two cents. Edited December 29, 2015 by spectrasoul
Angelblue05 4130
What version of the add-on are you using? This should be fixed in the beta version.
MSattler 387
What version of the add-on are you using? This should be fixed in the beta version. Zero issues here with Kodi 16 and the beta plugin.
