ThaDraGun 1
I've just started using Emby. Trying to do the whole transition over. It doesnt seem to be completing the metadata for all my tv shows. When I did all the scraping through Kodi there was no issues. How do I correct the TV show in Metadata manager? I don't mind having to enter in a show id number or something every now and then to correct it, but I do not want to fill the whole thing out for it. I havent gone through all my shows to see what ones werent complete but there are more then a few that I have seen so far. For example, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D This is my folder structure. The episode are all numbered and named. TV Shows\Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D\Season 3\Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - s03e01 - Laws of Nature.mp4 It has 3 seasons. Emby has named the episodes correctly and got all the episode details for the first 2 seasons, then the 3rd season it didnt do anything. Emby shows that the TVDB ID is 263365 (Link) Going to that page, it did find the correct show and all the details are in there. The 3rd Season poster is also there which is not shown on Emby. I don't know why it chose not to update season 3. What do I do now to fix this? Also, I don't think that all the Movie collections are showing in Emby. I havent looked to see what ones are missing but I seem to think there were alot more before in Kodi. When I find a missing collection is there any way to create it myself? ThaDraGun 1
Wow No one can help? Whats the point in using emby if it can't scrape properly. And worse you can't fix it's mistakes. There must be a way? I havent gone through all of them yet but I figured out that I can fix some by clicking the refresh button on each episode. One I'm having problems with is the Bridge. It scraped the incorrect show. So I found the right show and I replaced all the external Ids. I saved it and clicked the external id links to double check it was going to the right page. Thats all fine, so I hit refresh and it changed the main show metadata but the season and episode names/details did not change. It still has the info for the incorrect show. I hit refresh on the season and refresh on the individual episodes and it still does not update the info to the correct show. Anyone have any ideas???? speechles 1917
Have you tried using the identify button? Are you just telling it refresh which just fills in missing data, doesnt overwrite? Identify should overwrite and fix the problem. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Did the identify and it is the correct show. After I picked it, it did its thing but did not update anything. Episodes and seasons all incorrect but main show details are correct. Is there a way to remove the show from emby.. then have it added again?
speechles 1917
If you save metadata within media folders there is. In every /season folder will also be a /metadata folder. Delete the entire folder, or the individual nfo/xml that correspond to incorrect episodes. Emby will see the episodes as new after on a scan. You will need to run a database clean after doing this to cull the orphans from the db. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

Did the database clean and a library scan. It is still the wrong show. It saved the nfos back to the folders and all the info inside is for the incorrect show. I'm guessing I will need to look at the emby logs to see what its doing Where do I find the logs on my pc? I see if I go to server manager > Help > Logs I can view it there, but it shows it in the browser and its very slow and isnt showing the whole thing. speechles 1917
Is this a windows pc? %appdata%/emby-server/logs You can also move the entire series folder from the media location for the problem show. After you do this run a media scan it will notice the series is gone. Now run a database clean after. All remnants of the show should vanish. Add " (year)" to the end of series folder like you do movie folders to avoid misdetection. "The Bridge (2011)" instead of just "The Bridge". Make sure you delete all the /metadata folders in the season folders and move the entire series back into the media location. Then scan if it doesnt automatically. If you did it right it should work without intervention this time. Edited November 28, 2015 by speechles
ThaDraGun 1
Thanks I'll try that later. I do have it named correctly in the folder. Before when I used Kodi for scrapes it found the correct show no problem. \\QNAPNAS\TV Shows\The Bridge (2013)\Season 1\The Bridge (2013) - s01e01 - Pilot.mkv \\QNAPNAS\TV Shows\The Bridge (2013)\Season 1\The Bridge (2013) - s01e02 - Calaca.mkv ..
