elcaron 1
Hi, sorry if I am asking a totally obvious question, but I didn't find anything related. How do I trigger a library scan from an external program? I assume it is a relatively common usecase that external programs are used to save content into the libraries. In my case it is pyload. I would by the way second the wish asked in a thread below to add a can trigger for a single library. My scan takes nearly 2min, which is longer than downloading a full episode sometimes. And I don't even have any music in the library that could add thousands of files.
elcaron 1
Found it myself: http://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/17825-initiate-library-scan-via-command-line-or-url/?p=251924 Still, the scan of all libraries takes absolutly unnecassarily long. There should be a way for this if the added file is already known. Edited November 25, 2015 by elcaron
ebr 14858
On Windows systems we automatically monitor file system changes so this wouldn't be necessary at all. Not all OSes have that capability, however.
