Cannot connect remotely from Apps

Hi,

 

I've just installed EMBY to my Synology NAS, and have an issue connecting to it remotely.

 

When using the iPhone app, or going through app.emby.media, I cannot connect to the server when I'm not in my local network (or VPN).

 

Is there somewhere I can see a logfile of what is happening? Can I see for example what IP it's trying to connect to?

Both my HTTP and HTTPS ports are forwarded for the moment (for testing purposes - I'd like to limit this to https only)

 

I can connect manually to the no-ip server address, but not though the apps.

 

The server IS visible in the server list when connection with my online account. When clicking it however, I get the error message:

"We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again."

If you are trying to use https, then not all the apps are going to be able to support that right now with all types of certs.  Try with just http for now.

Like I said, I've enabled both http and https for now.

Should I completely disable my https forwarding to make it work? That doesn't seem to make any sense?

 

HTTP access works through the browser, but all apps give me an error.

The ip the apps are trying to use is the same one that is displayed on the front page of the server dashboard under External address.
