Content status indication not updating

I have been having issues recently with the played status not updating on my WMC clients.  After playing an episode, it will still show an unplayed episode flag on the series on the client I played it from as well as my other client.  Also, playstates are not always communicated between the 2 clients.  If I exit Emby for WMC and re-launch, all statuses and playstates are updated properly from the server.  The server interface always shows the client status on the Server Information page.

 

Please let me know if there is something that I can look into to see what the issue may be.

 

My setup is:

 

  • Emby Server 3.0.5781.0 running as plugin on FreeNAS 9.3.1
    • clients have direct access to files (no transcoding) due to path substutions
  • Emby for WMC running on i3 Windows 7 Pro x86 machines 3.0.286.0
    • using Chocolate theme
  • All systems have static IPs and each client is configured to use the proper server IP 

I can post logs etc. if I know what to look for.

 

Thank you for the great software!!  I have been using Media Browser/Emby for a long time now and it is excellent.
