[FR] show more info / add options to task scheduler

i'd like to recommend the following:

  • in the task scheduler overview page, it would be good to see when each task is next scheduled to run, as well as when it was last run
  • it would be good to be able to add a "once off" schedule. For example, if i've just done a big reorganisation, i might want to trigger a library scan sooner than the next scheduled item.
  • Or, instead of a "once off" item, it would be good to have a "run now" button to force the task to execute immediately.

is this possible?

There is a run now button for scheduled tasks already. It is the little share icon to the right of of the scheduled task name. Used to be a more appropriate play icon but was changed a few versions back. At least the button appears in Chrome for Windows on a desktop.

If you click on the task name, you can change its schedule.

Pretty sure most tasks can be configured to show in your notifications list as well.

That looks like re-start, recycle or repeat to me.

Honestly, I think the Play button was fairly self-explanatory.

i agree. Why was it changed? When i saw this button (i'm a relatively new Emby user) i had no idea what it was for - i thought perhaps for sending logs somewhere or applying this task to a specific data source or folder or something like that.
