apeg 0
New to emby and seem to have got a running start with it my TV content is perfect, but i notice my movie posters are all either thumbs or fanart (not the correct movie poster) i didnt touch any of the scraper configs so im not sure what i could have done wrong? Small secondary question: does emby only update the library on boot?
xnappo 1593
For your poster question - do you have existing artwork in your movie folders? Does the wrong art also show up in the web interface? Haven't seen this problem before. For you second question, no - as time the server finds new or changes media/playstates, it sends a message to Emby for Kodi to update the information. xnappo
apeg 0
Great to know (regarding the auto update) I have no additional art work in any of the folders (100%) reliant on the scraper. I don't even have .nfo files or anything along those lines. And yes it shows the same way on the web interface Any ideas? Thanks, Edited October 11, 2015 by apeg
xnappo 1593
Okay, that narrows it down. I suspect the server isn't identifying the movies correctly? Is all the other meta-data correct? (plot, etc etc)? You also have no .nfo files? How are your movies stored? Probably best to post this over in the server forum as it isn't really specific to Emby for Kodi. My structure looks like this: Movies\ 12 Monkeys 12 Monkeys.mkv No .nfo/image files. Edited October 10, 2015 by xnappo
apeg 0
I don't have any .nfo or image files and i just checked the ones where the movie poster is incorrect also have no meta-data (info panel comes up blank) but for the ones that do have the correct poster (like 28 days later in the picture above) do have the correct meta-data. My structure is as follows: Movies\ A\ A Beautiful Mind\ A Beautiful Mind.mkv Not sure how to move this to the server forum?
xnappo 1593
You could just post in the movie forum. But it is clear that it just didn't scrape right. I think it is okay to have that second level of folders (the 'A') but am not postive. Try going into the Emby server, hit the button on the top left, select metadata manager. Click on your movies folder and hit the 'refresh' button. This will take a long time, but hopefully will fix things up. If not, I would suggest that instead of adding 'Movies' to your library you add each letter individually. You could try with just one to see if it fixes your problem. apeg 0
I hit the refresh button but after about 20 seconds the loading icon went away and there was no noticeable change to the poster art file. I them removed my entire movies folder and added just \Movies\A, but after scanning the movie posters remain the same? A compliment to Emby is how simple this process is, but because it so easy i don't see what i could be doing wrong? Thanks,
xnappo 1593
Again - it is a server problem - I bet one of the server people has seen this before - so please post this issue over there. Sorry I couldn't help more..
