Some A-list Actor Images not displayed

How can I force the Actor Images to refresh?  I have noticed while looking through the Actor Images of some movies that some of the actors images are missing, displaying instead the default.  I understand it for some obscure actor, but some A-list names are doing the same.

I use MCM to do the initial meta-data and backdrops collection after I rip a movie.  I then copy the movie folder over to the Server and let the server scrub it as well and fill in any additional info that MCM may have missed.

THX

Some more info:

I did find the actor images folder on the Server.   One in particular is Shia LaBeouf,.  When I look at the Cast in the movie FURY, his image is the default blank.  He DOES have a folder in the IBN and there is a picture and xml in that folder.

I am using Emby Classic on my HTPC running Win7.  The Server is a separate PC running Win7.

So what now???

Should I just delete all the folders in the People Folder and let the Server rebuild all the images from scratch?

It isn't any different in the web client than it is in EMC, right?

I haven't figured out how to view the actor images via the web interface

Go to the detail page of the same movie you are looking at in EMC.

I'm pretty sure this is just a data/image issue and not related to the app.

I looked at the detail page of Fury via the web interface of the server and the image does not show up there either.  The pic of Brad Pitt is there (just like on Emby Classic on the HTPC).

Okay, then I'm sure this is just data related.  You may need to refresh the people with missing images using the metadata editor.

Shia LaB was just an example...there are others.

Could I just delete the folders in the People folder and do a refresh after that?  Shouldn't it rebuild the whole thing then ?

I deleted all the folders w/in the People folder.  I then deleted the library.db file.  Then restarted Emby Server.  Will see what happens....

PS:  I made a back up of all that stuff before deleting it.....just in case.

Results of effort tried above....

After a few restarts of the server it rebuilt the library.db file and the People folder.  The current files sizes compared to the previous entries is about 1/2 the size for each.

Unfortunately, this experiment resulted in even FEWER actors being created.  I cannot find a folder for Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Micheal Pena, Ben Affleck to name a FEW.

I have manually started a Refresh Images...it initially took 3hrs to build what is currently there.  Each successive attempt takes a few seconds only.

How can I get the Server to populate images which you know should be there?

Right now the server has issues with sending to many requests to the online metadata provider too quickly so certain actor images don't get metadata. As far as I know, the only way to populate that missing data is a manual refresh.

As of a test last week on the dev build; the person refresh task doesnt seem to grab missing images reliably and i dont think its due to overloading of the metadata providor; or rather that may be the initial cause of missing metadata but the the real issue is that emby wont 'right' itself after the ibn folder has been created or the xml has been created (one or other or both i am not sure).

anyways if you remove all instances of ibn folders with no image, and then run the people refresh task, you get the images (perhaps only up to the point of the online providor throwing a wobbly).

Problem RESOLVED

Here is what I did.

Shut down Emby Server and delete the librabry.db file

Installed and ran Radeons "IMDB IBN People Downloader" (i put my original People folder entries back). This ran for two days!  The IBN folder increased in size from ~ 1.2Gb to 15.7Gb :o .

I then started up the server and it started a scan.  This took ~ 10hrs.

I woke up this AM and looked at a few movies with the missing actors and all GOOD now.

:)
