FYI - rpi2 / h265

Just a heads up for the rpi2 users running Kodi/Emby.  The rpi2's are not powerful enough to play back 1080p h265.   I just tested over the past couple of days.   That may be one downside as more h265 content comes out, the fact that we have no way for these files to be transcoded to rpi2.

We can put in place certain guidelines for playback. If more than one person confirms this issue, I don't see why we couldn't force these files to transcode...

While I haven't actually tested, I know the Pi's VideoCore doesn't have a builtin h.265 decoder, and it's CPU doesn't have the oomph to decode just about any codec at 1080p. Transcoding to h.264 would be good.

Hmmmm how would that interact with Kodi/ EmbySync?

So far it looks like 720p h265 works direct play, 1080p h265 does not.

This would also apply to the Vero, the so called flagship of OSMC.

It lacks the cpu power to decode and have no hardware acceleration for decoding 265.
