Currently, Samsung Smart TVs, Blu-ray Disk players and Home Theatre Systems series E, F and H are supported.

D series devices are no longer supported due to an increase in the application resolution to 1080p.

However, version 1.0.6 is still available. Please follow the D-Series install guide which has an updated IP address courtesy of forum member @@hcjake

Samsung TVs running the Tizen OS are not currently supported.

A transcoding bug was reported in v0.592 that effected D series TV owners and so 0.590 was reinstated as the stable release until 0.593 is finished testing.

 

However, the bug is fixed in the latest beta, along with lots of other bugs so all users are encouraged to head over to the beta release thread and give it a try.

After a long series of beta builds that were diligently downloaded and tested by our fantastic forum members, we are delighted to bring you...

 

Emby for Samsung Smart TVs version 0.593

 

Your big fat bug-fix release.

 

Although a start has been made in improving the look and flow of the user interface, it remains a work in progress, and because the next round of visual improvements require a few slightly more invasive code changes, this seems like a good moment to make sure everyone has a stable build available with working subtitles and lots of other little fixes.

 

This version maintains support for D, E, F and H series Samsung Smart TVs, Home Theatre Systems and Blu-ray Disk players.

 

Many thanks to all the forum members who tested beta builds and provided feedback. Without your help this app would would support only whatever device the current developer has in their home!

The item details page has lots of new content including movie trailers that play picture-in-picture (on E-Series and above), cast, chapter and suggested items images, updated media icons and tomato ratings.
Favourites are shown with red hearts throughout the application.
Great new native photo browser.
Native support for Home Movies.
OSD fades in and out.
Music controls miniturised.
Show "Continue Watching" on the home page moved to a separate user option.
