Nathanio 35 Posted September 11, 2015 Share Posted September 11, 2015 Hi, Reinstalled my server last night (with an SSD and now it flies!) and as such reinstalled server. Everything appears to work fine; live TV, web playing of files, Emby for WMC launching my MKVs in mpc-hc. However on my ET systems I can't get it to launch the file without mpc-hc complaining it can't find the file. In the log file I see it make the call: 2015-09-11 13:55:12.0301 Info - App: C:\Program Files\K-Lite Codec Pack\MPC-HC\mpc-hc.exe "\\slinky\kidsfilms\Aladdin\Aladdin.mkv" /play /close /fullscreen but it can't find it. This was working previously (but it did update this morning). I've just installed ET on my WMC machine (which is launching happily) and its doing the same thing. The server is installed the same and I restored the config back using the plugin. I am using path substitution and it is working everywhere else. Thoughts? Task Manager will show you the user account that process is running under. Does that user account have access to \\slinky\kidsfilms\Aladdin\Aladdin.mkv? Nathanio 35 Posted September 11, 2015 Author Share Posted September 11, 2015 I said that WMC Emby was working fine but I found out it was transcoding the films rather than direct play (!?! worked before). Have gone bk to UNC paths and it seems to be working as expected on WMC Emby now. Will have to check again with ET.
