Live TV issue with releasing Tuners?

Hello

I am using the DVBLink Plug-in for Live TV integration with Emby. I have a dual tuner card in the server, when playing a third TV channel in the Emby app for Windows 8 / 10 DVBLink says all the tuners are occupied.

So it seems the Emby app for Windows 8 / 10 is not releasing tuners correctly?

More details from this post onwards here on the DVBLink Plug-in thread.

I don't have this same problem with the Emby web GUI or the Emby app for Android.

Many Thanks.

Thanks

I have been using EMBY for sometime and have recently (a few months) setup the LiveTV for streaming.  I am using the HDHR Prime.  When Streaming to a computer or Android Device, it seems the Tuner does not always release its locks.  In researching the issue, I found that if you click the X at the top of the stream window, it will release the lock, but if you simply close the app without doing this first, the lock remains and HDHR will show 1 tuner being used (even thought the app was disconnected).  I will note, the iOS platform will display the X consistently but the Android Phone App seems to only show the X quickly ad then vanishes.

In any event, how can I release a Tuner, via EMBY Server, when it is not truly being used.  Currently, I reset the HDHR device and reboot the computer it is running on.

Specs:

EMBY Server is running on W10 build 1511

EMBY Version is 3.0.5882.0

HDHR Prime Firmware version is 20150826

Hi, just make sure to stop the video. On android for example, the device back button will stop the video. On iOS, it's the X button. If you don't stop playback, it will eventually release, but it will take a bit longer for processes to time out on the server and clean themselves up.

Thanks - I will try that on the Android.  Do you know what the timeout is?  I am asking because the tuner was tied up for over 12 hours, I was waiting to see if it would release eventually.
