Vidman 589
That is not the recommend structure... Alot of movies can be tagged with multiple genres so how would it prioritise?
ebr 14910
We want to manage these types of things with interfaces derived from the metadata, not physical file structures.
danergo 28
Hi Guys, Is it possible to just simple move (or copy) the downloaded movies just as like the TV shows? That would be simpler, so I mean: /downloads/The.Beach.2000.HD.Eng.DTS.moviecreator should be moved to: /movies/The Beach (2000) or similar. Now I need to move these movies by hand, and since Emby has the metadata it would be easy to move the movies into the correct folder, right? Thanks, Danergo
ebr 14910
This is probably something we will eventually get to but it is not a slam-dunk because mis-identifications could wreak havoc with your file system. If you are ripping your own content, then putting it into the proper place is not much of a burden. If you are "obtaining" content through a more, ahem, automated source, then there are other programs that can help here until such time as we can look at implementing something like this. danergo 28
Yes, you are probably right, however using a 3rd party app to organize movie folders is a nonsense to me: Emby already knows all the infos about the files (3rd party should also connect to internet and download the metadata) Could you tell me which source file is repsonsible for the auto-organizing feature? (I could find it manually but now is night at this place). I can do a feature then which organizes movies too, and also which creates new series directories. Thank you
ebr 14910
You should probably get with softworks: Movie Organization
mnbf9rca 0
you could run couchpotato just to organise your movie content.
