Kodi Locks Up -> EMBY doesn't work after reboot

I've had EMBY for about a week and decided to put in on my OpenElec NUC last night.  After the first pass adding Movies / TV Shows I could play them fine.  I rebooted and could no longer play them.  When selecting a video it just sits on "Opening stream" until I cancel (15min plus).  When I go to add ons and select EMBY it gets stuck saying "Working".  I can disable/enable EMBY and this does not fix.  Only fix is to Uninstall EMBY -> Reinstall -> Clean Library -> Reboot and have it rescan everything.

I had SqlDB working great for the past couple of years and regretting making the switch.

Any ideas how to get it to connect without having to uninstall / reinstall daily?

Can you tell me how to completely remove EMBY?  I tried uninstalling it, then manually deleting every file with EMBY... upon reboot it prompts that "for this feature to work Emby addon must be enabled" I cannot get into Kodi without installing emby now.  I managed to disable it and put my old sqldb config on there... I'd like to completely NUKE the emby install and try again though.

To uninstall the Emby add-on:

1. The add-on needs to be installed. Back up your sqldb because this should have been done before you trying to put back your old stuff.

2. In the add-on settings > advanced tab > reset local database. Yes to both prompts, then next time you start Kodi it should start with server auto detect. Hit no, then simply uninstall the add-on.

Let me know how it goes.

Killed all sources, manually deleted Kodi DB.  Uninstalled emby. Reinstalled Emby.

Same issue gets stuck at opening stream:

You need to set your log level to info in the add-on settings for us to actually see what is happening. Can you repeat the same steps and post the log again? Thanks

@@bigzaj actually set the add-on settings log level to debug instead of info.

Emby is set to Debug; but in the logs it shows set to Normal...

I'm not sure I understand. It's very simple, you go into the Emby add-on settings in Kodi > advanced tab > log level set to Debug. Then restart Kodi and repeat the playback steps you did the first time around. It will capture what's happening in your logs, so we can figure out what's going on with your set up.

I'm sure I understand... I have set to Debug and rebooted several times and gone through it... that is the log I get.  It's worth noting with the Emby addon installed I cannot reset local db, cannot open openelec, cannot launch any other addon...

I completely reset Kodi to default and am re-adding Emby (first addon). So we will see if that is a fix.

** So far after complete reset it appears to be working **

Ok that's good to hear, keep us posted. You are the only one that's had so much difficulties getting things going. Sorry that I couldn't be more help because I am at a lost to understand why it was giving you issues. Hopefully, this is behind us and you can start enjoying the Emby/Kodi combo :)
