Vera plugin

[tp546 39]

I had the plugin working great and then I edited some scenes and now I can't get Emby to find the scenes. It connects to my Vera but refreshing the scenes doesn't work and nothing loads. I tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling, but no luck. Any other ideas?

@@chef any ideas here? Been a while since I fiddled with the plugin. Try uninstalling the plugin, then go to the plugin folder... Go to the configurations folder and delete anything Vera Plugin specific. Then reinstall. You'll have to reconfigure everything, but it should work. Hope that helps.

Sounds like Vera may have changed their API Endpoints in the latest UI version.

 

I will try it out today and see what happens.

Am I looking in the wrong place? The only files I see in that folder are:

GameBrowser.xml

Okay so I found that file, uninstalled the plugin and then deleted the file. I reinstalled the plugin and it still won't find my Vera (I keep getting the page that tells me to refresh but refreshing doesn't change anything), but the config file seems to have all the correct data - see here:

Wait for it to initiate it's startup (all the lights are on, blue, orange, green).

Noticed in the past, not sure if its still an issue, but I had to refresh the browser for the app to detect my scenes. Not sure if you have tried that.

The only time I have noticed this happen is, a while ago, when emby would "glitch out" and a rouge ffmpeg.exe process wouldn't end and the server would become unresponsive. The Vera plugin wouldn't load properly.

 

@@Xzener are you experiencing this behaviour with the scene list? I am stumped.

 

We will have to wait and see if a reboot of the Vera lite fixes the issue.

Okay so I found that file, uninstalled the plugin and then deleted the file. I reinstalled the plugin and it still won't find my Vera (I keep getting the page that tells me to refresh but refreshing doesn't change anything), but the config file seems to have all the correct data - see here:

So the Ui5 code was completely written based on testers who still used that version of the Interface.

 

The JSON you posted returns no errors, I had to check it against my VeraDto Classes and make sure they weren't missing anything which they aren't.

 

The last thing (if you wouldn't mind) is to please post the returned info from this link:

No need to apologize, thanks for the plugin - it was working great for me for a little while. I'll try to help troubleshoot however I can.

Yes changing scene names might have caused an issue.

 

If you had emby devices attached to scenes, and then they tried to run, it would throw an error.

 

But, if the plugin is not finding your Vera unit at all now, it is my code.

 

Now we know the URLs are reporting proper info, I will re check my code to see where I made an error.

For instance, if you turned your Xbox One on, it would add itself to the Device list. But, if you turned it off, it would remain part of the list.

It doesn't do that any more.

 

 

 

Still can't figure out what is happening with tp's issue.

 

All the code I have checked should populate and show a list in the plugin configuration.

Now I am unable to get a list of devices or add new. I constantly have the "If you see this message...". Refreshing the browser does nothing. Although, turning on my Xbox still sends the command correcly.
