ServerWMC broken with update to 3.0.5713.0

After updating the server to 3.0.5713.0 you are no longer able to playback channels via ServerWMC.  I know EmbyTV has been integrated into the core.  However, I choose not to use this as I do not have a schedules direct account and am happy with the guide provided through ServerWMC/Media Center at the moment.  Therefore, upon the upgrade EmbyTV's auto configure of HDHomerun Tuners duplicated the channels I have since ServerWMC is installed previously.  Not a big deal, since you can go into the settings and uncheck the "Enable this tuner - Uncheck to prevent importing channels from this tuner."

However, after unchecking that option, refreshing the guide to remove the duplicate channels, Live TV playback is no longer working.  If you watch the backend of the tuner, it never calls a channel.  Within the tuner tab of  ServerWMC, no tuner is opened either.  In the Active Streams of ServerWMC you see a channel being streamed via DLNA but you just get a black screen with a spinning circle on the web.

If you look at the transcoding logs you see:

[http @ 0000000002f33c60] HTTP error 400 Bad Request

If you leave the EmbyTV tuner enabled you are able to playback channels discovered by EmbyTV but not the ones from ServerWMC.

Also, unrelated to the above issue.  The title of the channel is overlaid by the default channel image if you don't have a channel image in place.

Same for me.  I just updated to 3.0.5713.19877 and serverwmc is not getting called anymore for guide or channel data.  And no live streams play, even though they start in serverwmc.  It still gets queried for tuner status.  No longer feeling the love.

Update -> now emby is downloading data from serverwmc, only difference I can see is that I started emby before I started serverwmc.  Live streams still do not start however (not using dlna mode)

Please try dev build 3.0.5713.42167 and let me know if it resolves the playback issue. thanks.

Thanks @@Luke, this version seems to solve the live stream problem.

I haven't been successful at getting rid of duplicate channels though.  I followed @@econ's suggestion of disabling the hdhr tuner so that the emby-tv channels aren't imported, then I refreshed the guide, but I still get duplicate channels.  I no longer have duplicate tuners showing up in the live-tv section, so that much worked.

Sorry @@Luke, I jumped the gun again..  after leaving it on for a while the duplicate channels are now gone.  Thanks.

I finally had a chance to move over to the dev -- Version 3.0.5716.29900

Still the same thing, not playing channels.  EPG entries transfer but the tuner is never triggered.

@@krustyreturns did you do something different to get it to play?  I restarted emby and serverwmc.

That's what I did too.  So when you try to play a channel it doesn't call serverwmc at all?

Correct, on Version 3.0.5716.29900 it still does not play any channels for me.

Are you on 3.0.5713.42167 and it is playing for you?  Not sure if there is any difference in the emby code for the serverwmc calls.

I am still seeing the http error within the transcoding logs:

[http @ 0000000002f33c60] HTTP error 400 Bad Request

I just downloaded 3.0.5716.37332, and it is working for me.  Can you post your serverwmc log, at least the beginning part of it, so I can see how you have it configured?

Thanks.  In this log, did you try to open a live stream?  Because if you did I see what you mean, swmc never heard of it.

I did try to open a live stream.  Not sure why nothing serverwmc wasnt seeing anything.  Just tried it again and the serverwmc log shows this:

That's weird how it keeps pulling over the transcode profiles over and over, is that normal @@Luke?  @@econ's tuner does transcode,   When he says this stopped working with the new emby version, could that be because the transcode profiles were enabled in the newer version?

@@econ,  I think see what the problem is now - and if I had looked more closely at your posts I would have seen it earlier - so I'm sorry about that.  @@Luke, the problem is emby is returning giberish for the transcode profile names, for example: cfca19af80076795b1caca84cd4c3218.  My tuners don't support transcoding, so I return an empty list of profiles when emby requests it, but today I noticed that in dlna mode emby is return these giberish transcode profile names anyway.  Since my tuners don't support transcode they get ignored.

Now in econ's case swmc is returning the hdhr transode profile list, but emby still returns these garbage profile names anyway.  Since econ's tuners support transocode swmc is letting them go through, so these bad profile names are causing the http stream to never start.  I will correct swmc to automatically ignore these garbage names, but I really think the problem is with emby.  Can you please take a look at this?

Econ, if I am right.  Turning off dlna mode for emby should make live-tv start working again.

@@econ,

If you can, please download the latest version of my plugin (.63).  With this version, and the newest emby (dev), you should be able to use dlna mode again with your tuner.  Please let me know what you find if you try it.

Thanks.

I don't know of this is related but I just updated and now the guide does not have the numbers on my phone. Maybe it is a server layout problem.

Beautiful!!! Just updated to .63 of the plugin and emby Version 3.0.5722.39790, enabled dlna server again and all is well.  Thank @@krustyreturns.  Appreciate it!

Also, @@Deihmos I think that may be a separate issue.  I still see the channel numbers after the update.  However, I don't have the channel images as you do.

@@Deihmos

Yeah, this has to do with the layout implemented in the app.  My guess is that if you have icons it is using them instead of the channel number, but just a guess.
