Hi,

i have Migrate to a new win10 Server with new name and ip.

I use the emby backup to recover.

i have one Problem:

The Metadata, its ok thats a new download but the ids for the movies are not in the backup.

how can i migrate this?

This is one reason I recommend saving the metadata with the media.  You never have this issue.

 

If you didn't have the metadata saved with the media then you will just have to let the system re-discover everything and re-fetch metadata.

all my movies are Named like the Movie DB German Titel and are locatet in one directory

Just tick the box in metadata settings before adding/reading your libraries

Hi, thx for the tip.

all my data in the folders of the movie.

how does emby it handle?

 

i open the browser and emby cach this local? or alway open the pictures over the movie path?

i see a folder like metadata with 1GB i think there store all data also local.

is it so? I want to save my nas HDD :)

 

emby is on a esxi 6 with win10 x64 VM

There are multiple levels of caching involved.  The original image will only be accessed if something changes that requires it.
