Live TV in Linux

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I found a few older posts on this, but no answers.

Do any of the current TV servers run on Linux?   in particular, Unraid (I have emby up and running now using Docker).

This would be capturing TV via HDHomerun.

thanks,

uh oh -  I have an older HDHomerun - not DLNA.

Do you know if a server live TV plugin is in the works which will support older HDHomeruns via linux?

or should I plan on upgrading to DLNA model?

thanks,

I'm sure there are others that work but you'll have to research the different live TV options available. There are lots of benefits to the dlna models though

Newbie: Using unRaid 6.1rc2  with the Emby I have a HDhomerun with 3 tuners and have been trying to get EmbyTv to see it. It has dlna capability and is on the same home network as my server via router. The 404 error is because it cant find the localhost/tuner.html I cant find in the HDhomerun documentation it even creates one. Log file is here

I found this http://192.168.0.12/tuners.html  placing it in thew EmbyTV  I now I get  Unavailable (Error: NameResolutionFailure)

SOLVED needed to be only 192.168.0.12
