Having a issue. Updated IPAD to latest update and now get no playback just sits there at tap to hide.

I am sorry but these projects no matter who runs it should be monitored. It is unfair to all the people who have paid for this.

There have been no updates and the author has been absent from these forums.

The emby team should not allow this.

Sorry, but it isn't our app. There's not much we can do. We are working on our own app that will be released very soon.

In the meantime, maybe if you post the usual logging info along with more descriptive information, maybe they'll see it and issue another update.

for now I will just Use the web interface. But I believe there should be something from emby that is there is a paid app and it is not supported by the owner anymore, the source code will be put for free with refunds or someone else should take it over.

I'd have to agree here. This app was not worth a dime and the author has not done a thing to earn the money paid by providing updates or any real functionality. It should be pulled from the App Store and banned by the official team. Worthless.  :(

Hope the work on an official app is moving fast and we have a viable alternative soon.

We don't list the app on our website and the author is never here, so there is nothing to ban. There's really nothing we can do. It's just like anyone else developing a theme or plugin, there is always a chance that person will decide to move on at some point. Luckily, we're going to have our own app going forward which will see regular updates and support.

I'm interested in the iOS Mobile App.  I recently acquired an iPhone 4S and one of the first apps I went looking for in the app store was Emby.  Couldn't find one.  There is one for Kodi but not Emby.  The one for Kodi didn't work because I have Kodi using Emby (working brilliantly too).   Since I just got both Emby + Kodi + iPhone recently I'm new to all of this.  I was a WMC+MyMovies user for 5 years and since MS is killing off WMC had to find an alternative that would be supported well into the future.  Maybe I'm just doing something wrong in the setup.  If there is a way and I'm just doing something wrong... perhaps that will satisfy most people until the official Emby app comes out?

You can always use the web client.  It is designed for mobile as well.

I was a WMC+MyMovies user for 5 years and since MS is killing off WMC had to find an alternative that would be supported well into the future.

I also moved over from MyMovies to was then MediaBrowser 3 when the server app was in beta.  Even during those server beta days I found it so much easier to manage then MyMovies it has only gotten better and more versatile from there.  I originally hoped MyMovies would go down the same direction as the very talented EMBY developers have done.  However, seeing the amazing work this ever expanding team has done and how little $ they ask for as v3 lifetime support I've very glad I jumped ship when I did.  I can't even guess what the MyMovies team would be asking for from a pricing perspective to get even the slightest in similar functionality.  Then to hear MyMovies isn't really considering alternatives for WMC at this time considering "support" for Windows 7/8.1 will continue for X number of years, is IMHO, ridiculous.  Sorry, re-reading this seems a bit like I'm bashing MyMovies.  I most certainly am not, they have/had an excellent program for what they do and they've also put a lot of development work into their product.  I think I wish MyMovies and the MB3/Emby team could have work together to create an even more awesome and even more cross platform product.  With MyMovies being an amazing source for metadata and Emby developers quickly making multiple platform and delivery appreciations it would have been a match made in media heaven.... saylavee!

@@djdevon3, I think you'll be quite happy with EMBY coming from MyMovies & WMC.  About iOS, don't fret I hear an updated iOS app is soon to be released but in the meantime as ebr states the web client on iOS works very, very well.

Chromecast doesn't work with iOS and web client.  It won't find the chromecast.  Causing some huge headaches.

Also, the lack of transparency is painful.  So far from what I gather there is no ETA, no known issues or updates.  I then see people saying 'we could reall use some help' well this is nice but how does that help?  If a dev wanted to help the onlyy detail he has so far to entice him is that it's an iOS app and it's similar to plex.

We have been waiting a while and most of the people here are here due to the open source concept.  How about you open up the progress and let the community help as a whole?  I can't see many devs helping with the way it is set up now.  If you have everything open maybe people can hop in on certain issues they can help with.  Many people are intimidated to help because it is marketed as a full-time dev essentially.

Just open it to the community.

Well transparency goes two ways. You haven't reported any problems with chromecast and the web client, therefore I can only assume it's working well for you. When problems are reported we usually address them pretty quickly, so there is no reason for you not to.
