Cannot Uninstall Emby Theatre to fix unhandled exception

This is so Bloody annoying.
Have been running the server and MBT on the same HTPC for months. Was using it last night even. No problems.

This evening (theatre set to start with windows as usual) it tried to start but gave me a Un-handled exception error to do with mediabrowser UI.

Couldn't figure out WTF had happened but on the forum people had solved this by uninstalling and re-installing.
I thought I would be clever and save the config file from appdata.
So after un-installing MBT and installing Emby Theatre it started up for the first time ok and I logged into the server with username and password. no problem.

next I replaced the new config file with my original back-up. Now I am back to square one with an unhandled exception again. :wacko:
OK, its a bummer, I'll have to un-install again and start again with another new install and play with all the flaming settings again from scratch. (im using MADvr and it wasn't easy getting things right)

But oh no..... now I cannot un-install Emby Theatre and am boll..xed.

A nicely working HTPC set-up suddenly decides to not work properly, just when I was going to use it to just google something anyway, I end-up forgetting that and trying to fix something that shouldn't have broke in the first place. ARRRGGHHHHHHHHH...

Edit:- I kind of fixed it. I deleted the config file I had overwritten and fired up emby theatre. I guess it recreated it. Now it starts ok without the unhandled exception error. Not sure if Ill ever be able to delete the program in the future though.

This sounds all too familiar. Emby Theater works for a month or so, then suddenly throws out "Unhandled exception: one or more errors have occurred". This has happened at least three times. Un-installing Emby Theater is never satisfactory, as it leaves behind numerous traces - even when "remove all traces" is selected. Windows gives an error message informing "may not have uninstalled correctly - try again with recommended settings?" Answer "Yes" and it's no better. Use Revo Uninstaller to remove registry entries. Revo finds several, but removes them to no avail. As I recall from a month ago, I think I had to use a system restore point (or conceivably, restore the partition from a backup) in order to restore a functioning Emby Theater.

When I try to re-install Emby Theater (subsequent to the dubious un-install attempts) from a newly-downloaded installer setup.exe file, the attempt fails with the following error report.
