Whole lot of Metadata gets lost

Hello,

I'm seeing this problem over and over again. Unfortunately my metadata (images) get lost. In the folder with movies, there are random missing images. It might have something to do with the fact that I started the server as service today, I don't know... I only know I wanted to automatically start it as service at startup, and that's it. After that, images were lost.

Any ideas what's happening? The only way to remedy it is to remove all metadata, remove all libraries and let it rebuild from the beginning. Not really a solution...

First thing I would check is for a permission problem. Like Happy2Play said - you probably need to post your logs to know for certain.

For now I have recreated my library, by removing it, deleting whole metadata folder and letting it recreate everything. I will try again with the service and see if it breaks something, and then will post the logs.

I think I might know now why I lose the whole metadata when I switch to Service:

The folder that was created on my network share holds the metadata, and it did not get the "SYSTEM" full access by default. After adding it, seems to work.

FYI.
