MB auto box sets- two locations

Hi I have a weird issue..

I use auto box sets, but have two 'collections' locations.

I have my main collections tab within the movies section, everything runs fine. This is mostly coming from D:\Videos\Movies\Box Sets . All okay there and that's all I'd like.

I also have a Collections section on my homescreen (unwanted), containing only 4 collections, this is pulling data from AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\collections

If i delete the folder, and rescan library the issue is resolved (apart from the 4 collections vanishing completely) until the folder reappears a few minutes later by itself

Folders within D:\Videos\Movies\Box Sets are named in the following format 'MB Auto Set [boxset][tmdbid=###]' however in AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\collections the format is '{movie name} Collection [MB Auto Set] [boxset]'.

I may be able to just change the collection location for these collections to D:\Videos\Movies\Box Sets (haven't tried it yet) but I'm unsure what the cause of the issue may be and how I can stop it in the future. I can provide screenshots if necessary. Cheers

I can't seem to find that specific option, I can remove other libraries (movies, tvshows, misc folders) but not collections. I also don't know what's causing these MB auto box sets to be named differently and in a different location- as I believe that's what's causing the two collections areas.

Click your user icon in the top left of the web client ui then click "my preferences" then under display/my views uncheck the " Display a collections view...."

Great that's worked for my account, how can I set that across all user accounts? I have it set so that users cannot access their own preferences, should I enable that editing and log in as them to change the same option? Or is there a way to set this from the config dashboard? Thanks for your help so far

If you do that, Auto Box Sets is going to be useless for you so you may as well un-install it.  It is always going to use the server's facility for Collection creation which goes into that Collections folder you are deleting.

Collections manually defined in another location is something that is no longer a documented feature.  We are attempting to continue to support it but not all features will work with that method.

I see. In that case I should migrate my box sets from D:\Videos\Movies\Box Sets right? How do you recommend I go about this so that I have just the one collections location? I suppose I don't mind it on the main screen as long as it's complete, but as I say it's only showing four collections at the moment. I didn't realize that I had it set up in an out-dated way.

Eliminate your manual box set folder structure.  Just put the movies in  with all the others.  Scan the library to be sure everything is how it should be.

Then install Auto Box Sets and let it do its thing.  Any it doesn't create you can create manually using the web interface.
