diaz1510 150 Posted May 28, 2015 Share Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) I've noticed 2 issues with the new update 3.0.5621.4 I use the webclient and when you select fullscreen it works fine, but now you cannot un-fullscreen it using the fullscreen button anymore. And I absolutely HATE HATE HATE the new TV Show info along with the controls that pops up when you move the mouse...it can take up the almost the entire screeen covering the show up (I understand its transparent)...way TOO much information. Is there a way to switch it back to the old "minimalist" version.... But I don't want to be all the way negative...I really love the overall direction that Emby is going...I can't wacth any of my media anymore without it, lol... Sucks because everytime I move the mouse, more than half the screen gets covered with that media info... ...I'm not a fan of this new feature.... I realize I may not represent everyone and some folks may like the new setup but it blocks too much of the show I'm watching. Was that "Enable Item Preview" supposed to have the effect I'm looking for? If so, then it's not working. If you want to simply move the slider to go to a different point in the show, half the screen is covered. And anybody else having issues with the fullscreen button getting to work properly? This also avoids any overlays appearing. Serioulsy? That really sucks...I absolutely hate this new feature...I love this program and everything it does, but I cant stand everytime I move my mouse it blocks half the freakin show...I've had some issues with updates in the past that I've ended up getting used to or even eventually loving, but this one is probably the most annoying feature. If I want to find out information about the episode/show I'm watching I'll pause it and get that information from the episode page...NOT while I'm trying to watch it... Anyway...I guess I'm in the minority on this one and that likely means it's here to stay...I'm not jumping ship because I love Emby...but...this feature has definately moved to the top of my most aggravating list, lol... As always, we listen to your feedback so why not make a feature request topic about an option to turn it off? I liked it when the bottom OSD was similar in size to the top one....it's just way too much info to be show WHILE watching...it covers half the movie up...keep in mind it shows up any time you even bump the mouse and it covers up any subtitles that may be showing at the time... By shifting some things around I can see it reducing in height by about 50% (probably what Luke's intention was based on his statement above) but I'd personally still like to see it more comparable in size to the previous iteration. I don't think that the description of the show/movie you are watching is necesary while you are watching it. My opinion is that all this additional information should require a click to display instead of being always present. Yup... hate the new overlay also... accidentally knock the desk and the vibration triggers the mouse and bang... can't see half the show I'm watching or any subtitles... and I rely on subs at night so I can keep the volume down low and not disturb others. It's not often I use the word hate... but in this case, it's kind of an understatement of how much I dislike it. I am a firm believer that if it's not broken, it doesn't need fixing/changing. I am against changing things just for the sake of changing things. As to the overlay... it's worse than those insidious Digital Onscreen Graphics (DOGs) that TV stations use to plug other shows/advertise... It's hard to convey how much I despise them and how I wish the people that think they're a good idea should burn in the fiery pits of hell. The option to play is already there on the mini overlay that pops up over the show/movie... and I have never understood why a second bigger one in the middle of the screen was needed. Why it simply doesn't just play the first unplayed item instead of asking if you want to play everything from every season of that entire show. VIEW POST Its even worse in mobile. @@Heckler yea I've noticed recently lots of "bells and whistles" being thrown at Emby just because... Don't get me wrong I love that the team listens to all of us for ideas, but just throwing all kinds of goofy ideas into the new builds, its getting a little cluttered.. Some minor older issues are being forgotten while new ones are being built in. I have always liked that Emby was easy to use, hell my parents and granny use it without constant support calls to me! I don't want to get those calls, "which play button plays the movie", "what is this new fangled popup AD should i click it?" "Oh this is to hard for me, I don't need it" lol you all know the family support calls! I don't want Emby to turn into this bottle opener (as cool as it is, its not practical): Also... why... why... why... is this needed? I honestly think Emby has taken a few steps backwards in the "clean" look....it's getting WAY too complicated with these "shiny objects" they are trying to put into it...
