Controls and Mouse Cursor keeps reappearing

Hey there,

New to this, been finding Emby great so far. Except that when I play certain movies, the mouse cursor and player controls keep reappearing after they disappear after a few seconds. This is very annoying to see.

One thing I did was to click on my taskbar as the video is playing and keep the mouse cursor away from the video. That doesn't make the controls pop up. But when I hover over the video, the controls appear, then disappear as they should, but reappear again.

Any ideas how to fix it?

someone the other day mentioned that chrome has an issue of firing the mouseover event incorrectly with certain kinds of mice. i don't see it with my logitech optical, but it could explain why others have reported this

The problem is actually with Windows on the OS level, other browsers have patched over this to fix it, typically because the record where the mouse is, then when the OS says it has moved, it double checks, if it is in the same location then it records it as false if it has actually moved then it triggers the mousemove inside the browser, however Chrome has as of yet to fix this issue, it is with random mouse/trackpad/keyboards that this error occurs, actually sometimes with joysticks also, anything that can have mousemove triggered can cause it, the fix for you as of now is using another browser, otherwise wait until Emby or Chrome implements the fix mentioned above.

I been having this problem 2 now for the last 2 months. Seems I get it a lot more with full screen using Chrome. If I don't go full screen and take my mouse off the Web page, then I don't get it. I thought I was the only one or maybe my wireless keyboard or somthing.

chrome is just a little more sensitive than other browsers. i'll try to improve this for the next release.

I think implementing a simple dead zone, defining that the mouse needs to have moved at least 10px in the last second, would be interesting, as it could also terminate accidental slight nudges and other slight sensor problems triggering the interface.

Another option is only showing the interface if the mouse enters it's area on the screen.
