There should have been an install log but the error message is really telling us the problem.  Something was probably holding open a file in the "System.old" folder.

Did you perhaps have explorer open inside the Emby program data directory at the time?

No, nothing was open other than the installer and internet explorer.

FYI - Just restarted the computer and tried the install. Installed with no problems at all.

Something was stuck running and holding a file open.

Could have been a stranded ffmpeg process.

Hi all, sorry to dredge up an old post but I get this on every server update I do. I get this fail, then click OK, setup closes. I do the exact same thing again (right click and run as administrator) and it runs fine. EVERY install the last.... don't know timeframe but not short term. I know what it is failing on and how to fix it or continue but is there something that can be done so I don't have to start a setup program twice? This has also happened on clean reboots and having the "mediabrowser" service stopped.

Thanks

Chris
