Hi

I have just updated my motherboard etc and installed the server and MBT on the same machine. All was running fine for a couple of days as normal.

Today MBT wont log in I get after 10 seconds or so the please log in screen

I dont know what username I should be using or password. Also the web client works as it should and I can see all my films but want to use MBT.

I did have this problem before many months ago and last time I just reinstalled an image of the disc when it was working. I have done that again but this time not fixed the problem.

How does MBT connect to the server if its on the same machine can I manually get it to look at the server ?

I know the credentials work.

i do not see anywhere to specify a server name and /or port number.

if you don't see change server on the login screen, try installing the latest version from the website.

what screen are you taken to when you open the app? can you describe in more detail?

ok, so it found your server. it's not an issue of changing server, it's an issue of logging in. double check the password you're entering. you might want to try changing or resetting the password on the server

Hey wolf359,

So you have done a fresh install of the OS (Windows I assume?) and then done a fresh install of Emby Theatre?

When you launch the application what options do you see on the screen?

I didnt have any options just launched mbt and instead of it going to my user screen it came up with that log on screen. I have now sorted it out all I did was to uninstall mbt completely and reboot the computer then install mbt again. That sorted it out so I will see how long it lasts this time

Looks like I'm having the same problem.  I get to the same screen that dirkdigs posted.  I uninstalled and reinstalled and ended up getting the same results.  I normally don't use Emby Theater but it worked last time I did and wanted to confirm that others maybe having a similar problem to dirkdigs.

I am also experiencing this problem. I reinstalled Emby Theater which did not resolve the issue. I can play via the web client

Just figured out my issue... My Emby Servers IP had changed and Emby Theater hadn't picked up new address. I manually edited %AppData%\Roaming\Emby-Theater\config\servers.json and changed to new Emby Server IP and Emby Theater worked fine after that.

Interesting. Is this internal inside your network, or away from home?

Thanks, I will take a look at this scenario.

Can you provide some info - when you open the server dashboard and it displays your local address, is the value correct? thanks.
