denz 426
I have noticed with the latest update the second column of latest recordings is squashed and in the tv guide the channel logos are also squashed the channel column has been reduced which is good to see but unfortunately it is squashing the logos as well. Guest asrequested
I extended this a little bit more to be like the Apple TV parallax effect. Let me know what you think. You have to enable desktop mode. I like it! That's a great improvement. I can't wait until this gets extended to the TV guide

denz 426
The no focus bug seems to be fixed but one issue that I am noticing that it takes a good 2 - 3 seconds for the tile in now playing to be selected again. To reporoduce arrow over one of the tiles in now playing press play button and go back and even on my work i7 computer it still takes 2 - 3 second for that tile to be selected again. Hopefully this can be looked into so it is much faster. Thank you
spon 24
Hi guys. I've been using emby with Kodi for a while, but thought I'd give Emby Theater a try. I'm having problems locating the advanced setup features. Where can i select MadVR as the renderer, etc? The set up options in Video Playback seem very limited in my UI. Is there an advanced mode or something? Thanks!

spon 24
Did you download the windows app or are you running the web version? Hi Luke, I'm still running windows 7 on my HTPC, so I'm assuming it's the web version. I downloaded it from the link on https://emby.media/emby-theater.html. Luke 37008
You need to download the windows app. Also make sure Windows Aero is not disabled or certain video features will not be available.
spon 24
Hi Luke, sorry to be dense, but just to confirm.... There seems to be two version: Download for Windows: https://emby.media/emby-theater.html Try the online web app: http://tv.emby.media and https://tv.emby.media - supports the latest versions of Chrome, Opera, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. I've downloaded the "download for windows" link, which ran an installer on my machine. Edited April 22, 2016 by spon

I've downloaded the "download for windows" link, which ran an installer on my machine. Just click on your user portrait in the top right corner. Then click on the gear icon on the next screen. The app doesn't really have any "Advanced" settings, though. Once you tell it to use MadVR, you would adjust the settings in MadVR itself. This is done while viewing a video by selecting the MadVR icon from your system tray. Edited April 22, 2016 by Koleckai Silvestri

I know how to adjust the settings within MadVR itself, but I don't see any option with the settings part of Theater to select MadVR.

spon 24
make sure Windows Aero is not disabled or certain video features will not be available. I'm sorry to be difficult, but I'm just not able to see the MadVr option. aero is enabled. Should it be in the Playback - General section?

Luke 37008
If you don't see those options then Windows DWM (desktop window manager) is not running on your system. This could be for any number of reasons - you disabled it, some software you installed disabled it, it failed, or some software you installed caused it to fail. Without DWM the app uses the Chromium video player which is basically the same as what you get in the browser. This resource might help you: http://www.techerator.com/2011/05/how-to-restore-aero-effects-if-the-windows-desktop-window-manager-crashes/ I thought that we had a check for this along with a prompt telling you about this, so i will have to re-test this. spon 24
Thanks Luke. I'll continue to try. I did reset via the linked instructions earlier today and also reset it via the CMD prompt in admin mode. It's obviously something with my system though. Thanks again for your help.

Luke 37008
I've put up a blog post on how you can get started with creating your own skin for Emby Theater (or adding your own personal touch to the default skin): http://emby.media/community/index.php?/blog/1/entry-302-learn-how-to-create-skins-for-emby-theater All you need is a little skill with HTML. Just fork the skin on Github, and let us know what you come up with.
denz 426
I hope somebody can help with basic step in creating a skin for Emby. I am stuck at the first step I have made changes to package.json and the other two files when I go to install the plugin I just get a endless spinning circle. I have enabled the debug log in theater to see will it give me some more information but it doesn't I think the issue has something to do with the githbub link https://raw.githubusercontent.com/denz2/emby-web-defaultskin-denz/gh-pages/package.json I noticed when looking at the screensaver package.json and the default skin their GitHub has io as the domain. Hopefully somebody can help with above At least I can make changes in chrome. Thanks
Luke 37008
because you're trying to use the raw github url. notice the skin is using the github pages feature. i actually set this all up so that you don't even need to worry about that, just fork and that's it. Then modify the example url that's listed on the page. it seems you didn't read those instructions to modify the url and instead tried to figure out the url from scratch, and that's how you arrived at the raw hosting url.
