mangis 10
Hi Scott I'm having some issues with playing just audio in the app at the moment - both from the podcasts channel and music. It looks like the ffmpeg process is stopping just after the transcoding starts. I can't see anything in the transcode logs when music playback is attempted (although I wouldn't know what to look for) but when trying podcasts I am seeing - Error while opening encoder for output stream #0:0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width or height. So it's entirely possible that it's not an issue with the app at all and is something server side. Just wondering if you've come across anything like this. Thanks mate. sprtfan 3
I mentioned in another thread I was having problems getting Music to start/play in the phone app but thought the questions probably belonged here. Has the server update that fixed this rolled out yet? I just want to see so I don't spend time trying to find a problem on my end if its just a matter of waiting for a new server release. ScottIsAFool 517
It should have been, yes. Can you clear out the logs (in the about window), then try playing some music again. If/when that fails, go back to the about screen and send the logs, I'll see if there's anything in there.
sprtfan 3
I sent the log. Thanks for any help. Edit : I ended up sending a second log as well because the first one didn't look like there was much in it. ScottIsAFool 517
Thanks. If you sign out of Connect, and sign back in (all within the app), will it start the audio then?
sprtfan 3
I signed out, and then signed back in and was still not able to get the audio to start. Thanks
scorchedcortex 1
I'm experiencing the same issue with the current app downloaded from the Windows Phone store. It worked fine up until a week or so ago. Any fix for this in the pipeline? Thanks for your help!
ScottIsAFool 517
Hang on, so you were having no issues playing music up until a week ago? Any issues at all before that?
scorchedcortex 1
Hang on, so you were having no issues playing music up until a week ago? Any issues at all before that? No issues at all. I was able to play audio with no problem. It may have been a little more than a week ago, but not much longer. I hadn't used the app during that time, but when I used it a couple of days ago it wouldn't play audio.
