Has anyone installed this sucessfully on a H series.

I can log in as develop - correct Ip address and nothing happens

Device is a h6500 Blu ray

 

its connected to a D8000 - which works perfectly!

 

Any hints or tips on how to get it to load (via usb?)

Note - I have reset the TV and the Smart Hub a couple of times.

 

Seems F series are easier to install to.

It has installed successfully on H series tvs in the past, but unfortunately not on at least some H models since the last couple of firmware updates.  A couple of people have contacted Samsung developer support, but as of yet no one has reported a fix here.  Check out the second link for loading via usb.

Just a guess of mine, but it could be that it no longer works on at least some H model tvs with the latest firmware updates is because Samsung was prepping them for the new Tizen OS that they are making available for the H model and newer tvs which may have broke it for this app.  That is just me guessing though

Yes, it installs great on my F8000 TV and my HT-F6500W HTS too

If you installed the new firmware you should be able to still install using usb, but ya going to require a new app for Tizen probably.  The app can also be installed on some Samsung home theater systems if you have one, otherwise you will probably need to use a Roku, XB1, etc for Emby

Hopefully it's an easy port over.  I'm sure chess has seen some discussion on the Samsung developer forums on how to do just that.

Hi i am running the app on an UE48H6700 TV

 

to install all i had to do was

 

login as develop

go to the app page long press enter and in put the ip addres

and then long press again and click on user app sync

and it shows up with the rest of the apps

 

it can take sometime to show up and i have had a few time that i had to put the ip address in 2 or 3 times to get it to work

Do you have the latest firmware update for your H series TV?  I think the ones who were having problems were good until the upgraded their firmware.

i have been using

media brouser/ emby for 4 months now and have not had menay problems the cuple of time that it has frozen in the tv app but it all good and i am very pleased with how it is growing

I installed the app on a friends H series TV earlier today without issue.

 

It was a Samsung UE32H5500 model.

I still cant get it to load

log in as develop 000000

chnage the ip (just to make sure)

hit the app sync

get the message - press yes

says it will sync

nothing happens

 

any steps i am missing out

 

p.s my firmware just updated to 019 - thought i would try again (same)

My Samsung TV is Model # UN50F6350

 

I loaded the IP address and clicked on "Start App Sync" and immediately got an error message: "Unable to connect to server. Please try again later. (ERROR_DEVELOPMENT_002).  Does that mean I'll have to manually load the app?

I would like to test it on my H series, with latest firmware, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to input the IP. I long press an app, select IP, the boxes come up (empty), but I cannot input anything?

 

I tried to use keypad, but that just takes me away from the input boxes. I am logged in as develop ok.

Using the one that came with it, finally figured out a way, using keypad for each box, all installed and working now. Pretty much reminds me why I generally just use this TV as a bigass dumb monitor to my HTPC though, god I hate "smart" TV's.

I have a Samsung 40 inch and I have tried multiple times logging in as developer. At that point hold enter down on an app and go to ip setting. I then enter the ip and then do a user app sync and get nothing. How can I try the usb way or possibly troubleshoot why app isn't coming down. I am in the US so US model tv and I am on Verizon fios which means broadband router and below are the model and firmware versions:

 

Model: UN40H5201

Major Software T-NT14MAKUC-1122.3

Minor                T-NT14MAUSS-1001

 

Smart Hub Version 6.17711

 

If I do have to go the USB Route. Where can I find the zip? Can I get clarification because I have seen conflicting instructions on here as how to run it off a usb stick.
