Can I upload shows/movies to Google Drive and have Emby use that as the "server"?

Question is in the title :)

Can I upload all my content (mp4 mostly) to google drive, and emby just scans the library from there?

I would use Cloud Sync, but if I have to keep my content locally, that defeats the purpose.

If you could do that how long before your ISP started having conniptions?  I know my media bit rates are far higher than Netflix.  It would add up quickly.

On windows you can use NetDrive and mount google drive as a network drive. Works great with Emby. There are a few fuse solutions for Linux & OS X as well depending on the size of your library & the server resources you have it might work.

I currently run an emby with netdrive on a windows 2k12 vps and it works flawlessly. I recommend at least 4gb of RAM and 100gb free for caching from drive.
