Walter 10
I have two problems. One is that I cannot access the settings if I have the programs plug-in installed. I believe this is because in Theater the plug-in is listed as supporter but on the server it requires $1. The second is that during one of the last updates my m2ts files are not being bit streamed properly. They use to be bit streamed to my receiver but now they are being sent as PCM audio. Any help with this would be amazing. Thank you so much.

Luke 37009
have you checked the audio settings in the app?
Walter 10
I have been using MB Theater since it came out and have never had any issues and have not messed with the settings since then. Plus in order to go into the settings menu I need to either uninstall the programs app or manually move it so I can retain my settings. I have theater installed on two separate computers and both have the same issue. I really think its just a bug that was introduced in an update but need a confirmation so I can stop troubleshooting. I have tried the audio settings and nothing seems to work so far. Yes I tried all the settings and restarted the computers . Thank you for the quick reply. Luke 37009
Ok, I've sent a note to our chief expert on this. We'll see what he thinks.
babgvant 143
Is it just M2TS files that don't bit stream? I'll need to look at a log file to understand this better.
djlf 40
For me its M2TS ONLY - MOVIES bitstream ok. Here are my logs hope it helps theater-63564566162.txt
Walter 10
Yeah, just m2ts. Every other file works fine.
babgvant 143
If you use the Default DirectSound audio renderer does it work?
babgvant 143
Can you show a MediaInfo dump of the file's streams? The log seems to indicate that the selected audio stream is AAC ("SetInternalStream 1 Audio A: SoundHandler (aac, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 156 kb/s)") which LAV won't bit stream. Walter 10
Here are the logs and dump you requested. Sorry for taking so long work got in the way. It looks like its just transcoding the file for some reason instead of just playing it. I attached the transcode log too. And maybe while looking in there you can see why my setting button won't work with the programs plug-in installed, can't seem to figure that one out. m2ts.xml server-63565023621.txt theater-63565027300.txt transcode-10c6d462-b39f-455b-b086-c141538b8191.txt Edited April 19, 2015 by Walter
Luke 37009
Ok, I can take it from here then. i'm posting an update for the app that will add m2ts to the direct stream format list. but you can do direct play which is even more efficient by allowing the app direct access to the media folders. click the help button on the server library setup page for more information. Walter 10
Gotcha, thanks for the help. You guys are awesome. Funny thing is I already have my shares setup with network paths. Should I just use the server path and use path substitution instead? Edited April 19, 2015 by Walter
Walter 10
Thank you, the update fixed the issue. Now just need to figure out why having the program launcher installed prevents me from accessing the settings.
