Subtitles (srt) on Panasonic VT60

You need to define them in your device profile. According to docs I found, you device supports .srt, .sub, .txt files so these need to be defined.

First go to MB Control panel  and from there left click on DLNA. Make sure the server is enabled (second tab "Server") there should be a tick on "enable dlna server", then go to third tab "Profiles". Here you can define a custom profile for your device or use one of the defined ones. A Panasonic Viera profile is good starting point to see what your profile must contain or you can use it directly although I don't know if this will work, you must test it.

Aah, also to test if your device profile is loaded and your device is recognized, on first tab "Play to" enable dlna debug logging, then restart MB and check the log file for "device profile" this will show you which profile is loaded.

you can find the log file in C:Users\ "Your win username" \AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\logs

Also follow MB wiki guidelines about external subtitles https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Subtitles

Today I decided to compare Emby DLNA server vs Plex and realize that it was working great with my TV (VIERA ST60), beside for subtitles, so I decided to define the Panasonic VIERA profile with the appropriate settings.

Once I did that and saved, the server completely vanished from my TVs available DLNA servers. I can see Plex dlna, and still works but not Emby's DLNA.

So I restarted everything, router, the mac, erased every settings etc... nothing worked.

I checked to see if I could see the server from my iPhone with an IOS app called mconnect= NO GO, tried with TV Assist another IOS app, and I could see the dlna server, I mean I can't play a thing because either the app is bad or the loaded dlna profile is bad, anyway weird, when everything works from PLEX on both app.

I deleted my Custom Panasonic Viera profile in hope of regaining access to the server but nothing. Power TV, Unplugged for 30sec, nothing.

Hence me being here.

Any suggestion ?

NB: 'Play To" is detected (sometimes) but never works, another problem for another time I guess...

Server is on MAC OS X 10.7.5:

Thanks
