saitoh183 137
Shouldnt it also contain a link to app.mediabrowser.tv?
ebr 14903
That email is the one that goes to you when you as an admin link yourself to your own server so it isn't really necessary to point you to the hosted web client in that instance. ebr 14903
Ah, i thought users get one as well Well, it depends on exactly what type of linkage you are dealing with - and I actually think there may be some confusion about this that we need to clear up somehow. When you add a Connect user name to an existing local account, it creates a "link" between those accounts and that is when you will see the email you just posted. However, when you Invite a new user as a guest, that creates a different kind of linkage and generates a much more informative email to the user you invited. That one does contain a link back to app.mediabrowser.tv. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to add the same kind of information to this email as well. I was just thinking that, in the linking case, the email was pretty much always going to the person who just did the link so all the extra info wasn't necessary. But, I think maybe people are linking other people with local accounts too instead of using the invite a guest route so we could cover our bases with more info here. ebr 14903
Actually, I'm mis-speaking a little bit as the emails don't have this information. It is the web page you are directed to after accepting the link.
dougnliz 0
I have a friend that created an account today so I could invite them to my server, but they say they never got the account activation link. I am not able to invite them, because I get a message that says their account is not active. How do we correct this? Doug
ebr 14903
Make sure they check all spam traps. Then post in the "Forum Issues thread" and give Abo the user name and we can manually validate it.
dougnliz 0
Yeah she checked spam, but still couldn't find it. I'll post in the other thread. Thanks for the help.
