We've updated our Chromecast app with some new features. Here's what's new:
More AC-3 Passthrough, More FLAC
We've always supported ac-3 pass-through with Chromcast, but now we've updated our transcoding to also use it as well. This means if you have a DTS audio track for example, now we'll convert it to AC-3 which will still allow you to enjoy the surround sound.
In addition, direct playback of FLAC has been extended to more Chromecast devices and not just Chromecast Audio.
How to Get The Update
To receive the update, simply power cycle your Chromecast device and restart the casting app.
