A new release is out and is purely a maintenance and bug fix release. Thanks to the help of the community, the following bugs have been resolved:

  • Local metadata settings sometimes not respected
  • Certain combinations of settings leading to people getting lost
  • Improved Firefox responsiveness with remote control and scheduled tasks
  • Xbox one layout distorted
  • Playback notifications not including series name
  • Default user icon in header too small
  • Non-admins able to group versions
  • Playback of cloud synced content
  • Video playlist not advancing to next track
  • Image editor upload button not responsive
  • List page selection check boxes not accessible
  • Fix people sorting
  • Fixed Ac/DC getting split into multiple artists
  • Fix metadata manager jumping around when clicking on tabs
  • Metadata manager sidebar doesn't auto-scroll down to selected item
  • Spinning wheel not disappearing when it should
  • Side menu taking nearly all of windows phone screen width
  • Movies per actor not displaying uniformly

New Setting for Automatic Updates

Also, we know that some of you would prefer not to have automatic updates, so a setting has been added for that in the advanced section. Enjoy :).

My actors/actress's movies are not showing up under particular people. I have seen other threads about it but no actual fix, even after this update. Only way for me to fix is to do advanced refresh on all my media...which will take about a week.

I was going to make a new post by many others have done so already. Can do a new post if needed.

Best thing to do is just give it time and they will come back on their own. The data is still in the database and will be gradually migrated to the new way we're storing it.

since upgrading i can not get in to the metadata manager. I've restarted the server, and rebooted the pc. still just sits there with spinning icon

is there a way for me to roll back to previous server engine?

I am testing the Emby for Fire TV app (v1.0.56a) on an Amazon FireStick.

I have not yet registered the app via support/PayPal and am still in trial mode.

I have the Enby server setup for preliminary test on a Windows 8.1 notebook. I can access the Library through the local network (haven't tested the remote https access), however, none of my Music is showing up (all my paths are correct) and I can see, access and play the files in the TV, Movies, Music Video libraries, through the Firestick streamed to my HDTV.

None of the music files (MP3, FLAC, et al) are showing up in a "Music folder" in the Library. This is after days of seeing if the server would "catch up" to and recognize the Music library and files.

Any suggestions?

Overall, the Emby system has great potential versus other media server systems. I would consider registering and supporting Enby once they work out these kinks (it's not easy, I have issued and pending patents on multimedia software and GUIs, and alpha and beta testing a system such as this is not easy.)

At any rate, keep plugging Enby!

Hi Greg,

Best thing to do is post inside the community with a specific example and we'll work through that. Often solving it for one will solve it for all of them.
